This year the harvest period was highly anticipated, and perhaps even more than usual.
After a difficult year which gave us 1/3 less in quantity compared to a normal harvest due to frost during flowering, we’d expected a lot of this coming harvest as you may imagine.
And we were not to be disappointed: beautiful juicy berries (after heavy summer rain), highly concentrated flavours (magnificent start of spring with summer temperatures during harvest) and other signs that do not lie such as the intense colour observed during pumping overs, the beautiful sweetness announcing beautiful degrees, enchanting smells of ripe fruit in the vat house predicting a beautiful bouquet, nice consistency of the juice for fine tannins …
2014 should be a year to keep…
